Rico Ruffino is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Forest Biomaterials. Currently, he serves as an instructor for sustainable design classes and is a member of the IDSA and SFC. He is presently developing a sustainable design lab at NC State to design products that are more environmentally and human-centered to minimize the overuse of resources. Recently, Professor Ruffino has produced a service center that aids companies in creating and testing new sustainable products for development.
