SFC presents "Materials Matter"

The Sustainable Furnishings Council will take part of interzum 2025, one of the most influential global events in our industry. 
interzum is where innovation meets action. It’s a global gathering spot for anyone working at the intersection of furniture, interiors, and forward-thinking design. The theme of this year’s show is “Rethinking Resources: Circular and Biobased Solutions" and features three key segments:

- Function & Components:  Tech that enhances comfort, energy efficiency, and product performance  
- Materials & Nature:  Sustainable surfaces, woods, and decorative materials  
- Textile & Machinery:  From fabric to foam to finishing touches, all under one roof  

In addition to exhibiting in Hall 5.2, SFC's Executive Director, Scarlette Tapp, and Program Director, Angie Kenny, will deliver a presentation titled 'Materials Matter' on Thursday, May 22, at the Trends Stage, covering these objectives:  

- The environmental impact of material choices  
- What responsible sourcing really looks like  
- Innovations that support circularity in furniture design  
- How materials are shaping consumer preferences
