We make a conscious effort to manage our materials selection, seeking materials we are confident are sustainable, such as legally harvested forest products, responsibly produced plantation products, and recycled content:

In keeping with our commitment to continual improvement, we are planning to take the following actions this year: On reducing energy consumption:

2016: We use only high rated energy efficient appliance in our offices. We have installed water saving taps and low flush toilets in our offices. We use natural light and task lighting with CFL and LED bulbs only. Our building envelope has been updated and now has more efficient seals and insulation.

2014: Enrolled in SLE Off Peak Save Power Pays. Use solar energy. Paper reduction in office.

In keeping with our commitment to continual improvement, we are planning to take the following actions this year: On how we will manage our primary material or service to a more sustainable direction:

2016: We have reduced paper usage and when needed use recycled paper only. We have provided our workplace with a kitchen that offers reusable utensils, cups and plates. We offer Flex-time schedules allowing employees to work from home. We send clients and vendors electronic documents.

2014: We are always taking steps to reduce our environmental impact at each stage of the life cycle of our "stuff".

In keeping with our commitment to continual improvement, we are planning to take the following actions this year: On education and promotion of the sustainability cause:

2016: Goal 1. We have partnered locally to end hunger and provide healthy meals to our homeless weekly.

Goal 2. We have been educating our clients and readers on sustainable management of water through

drought resistant landscape design and plant education.

Goal 3. We participate with our clients to ensure sustainable consumption patterns by educating and

providing durable yet attractive products that are timeless, tasteful and support sustainability by reducing the DUD (dig,use,dump) economy.

2014: Continual education with clients over paint and materials that are more green based and eco-friendly. Engage more public forums and speaking lectures.
