Urban Salvage for All Your Wood Needs
Thursday, July 15, 12 PM - 1 PM EST

Learn how to access and make best use of wood salvaged from removed urban trees and deconstructed wood harvested years ago, solving today's furniture construction needs while helping you meet your environmental goals by diverting viable wood from the waste stream and sequestering carbon.

We will hear from Urban Wood Network members Jennifer Alger, USRW Certified Wood Standards, CEO of Far West Forest Products and UWN Western Region Lead; Theo Hooker, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Founder of Cambium Carbon; Paul Hickman, CEO and Founder of Urban Ashes and UWN Michigan Chapter Lead and Sarah Hines, Urban Field Station Coordinator for the US Forest Service, Northern Research Station. Discussion will cover the impact of our choices in materials and help us make better ones.

Content also includes a synopsis of GREENleaders, the industry's first certified sustainability training course. Expect helpful information you can begin using in your business immediately as well as answers to your questions about getting the most out of SFC membership.
