This Working Group meeting will introduce SFC Members to Lottie Watkinson, Business Development Manager, Social and Labor Convergence Program, to discuss tools for social and labor data collection from your manufacturing facilities. The high quality data that is collected can be used collaboratively to avoid audit fatigue at a facility level, with an overall goal to use redirected resources for improving working conditions. We know this is becoming more important to gather and report information, as they look to meet human rights due diligence obligations, and too for consumers, who want to know more about who made their products. Lottie will talk about the role of SLCP and how Home Furnishings Manufacturers and Retailers can benefit, and present information on becoming a SLCP Signatory Company.
Agenda and Presentation:
- What is SLCP and why was it created?
- What have been the impacts of SLCP so far?
- Expanding use of SLCP beyond apparel: how the benefits of SLCP also apply to the furniture and home furnishings sector
- Next steps
- Q & A
