SFC's Social Equity Working Group

The SFC Social Equity Working Group focuses on ensuring social equity in the corporate workplace, in our supply chains, and in the company's community outreach. Peer-to-peer learning will help us all with company culture, supply chain code-of-conduct, supply chain mapping, and community program areas. In our initial meeting we will define terms, give concrete examples of social equity, and share ideas about how we can put the practices in place in our businesses.

About SFC Working Groups:

Participation in Working Groups is our newest SFC Member benefit! In response to our recent SFC member survey we know you are prioritizing corporate sustainability, and that you want help not only from SFC staff, but also from your peers. Sustainability is complex, and furnishings supply chains are also complex. SFC's new Working Groups will provide a forum for discussion and for sharing practical advice. The 6 SFC Working Groups will focus on 6 different and often interrelated aspects of sustainability: 

  • reducing carbon emissions 
  • maintaining health and wellness 
  • ensuring social equity 
  • reducing waste 
  • managing water 
  • incorporating circularity

Each group will meet every 6 weeks, on Wednesdays at 3 pm EST, via GoToMeeting. Members are invited to participate in any or all of the groups. To sign up, click the link below:
