As active members of the Sustainable Furnishings Council, we educate our customers to understand best practices to ensure a sustainable planet for generations to come.
Tightrope is a Brooklyn workshop that focuses on craftsmanship, sustainable materials, and eco-friendly practices. Founded by artists, Victoria Young and Quang Hong, in 2013, Tightrope is a collaboration and a practice in balancing art and design. As founders and makers, Victoria and Quang are deeply involved in the work produced and love to discuss custom projects and installations.
For the past 25 years, Tucker Robbins’ passion has been bringing the spirit and craft from traditional artisans to contemporary life. Aware of the growing need to guard the planet, Vanguard Furniture is again taking a leading position in the industry in developing environmentally-conscious furnishings. Sustainability is more than a program; we see it as a way of life. Working in all areas of our enterprise, from suppliers to our manufacturing process, we emphasize reducing waste and using sustainable elements.
Varaluz is an eco-chic lighting and home decor manufacturer dedicated to sustainability. We use 75% or greater recycled steel and 100% recycled glass on all of our fixtures. Many of our fixtures and decor products feature unconventional, recycled, and natural materials such as reclaimed wood and shell. 85% of our items are hand-forged and hand-painted with low to no VOC finishes in the Philippines. We ship our products out of our home base in Las Vegas, Nevada using 45% less packaging materials.
Most of the furniture we manufacture consists of wood solids and wood veneers grown and harvested near our plants in the Southeast. Pine, oak, maple, cherry, ash, poplar, birch and beech are the primary species used in Vaughan-Bassett's bedroom collections. In addition to my profession of photographing wildlife and nature, I am principal and founder of Wink Gaines | Photographer and the AluminArte Collection. Established in 2012, the AluminArte print process redefines and refines the art and display of individually crafted photographic images for residential, commercial, and hospitality venues. Through the pairing of photography with innovative print materials, nature, technology, sustainability and high design meet.
Zoe Bios is an LA-based art house creating limited edition and one of a kind artwork and globally-inspired curations. They coined the term "Art Entoure" to express the concept of a full-circle approach to the cross-pollination of the art world with the design world. It celebrates the infinite variety of our environments and is rooted in creativity, global connectedness, and artful living.
